What We Do

Artificial Intelligence in Education & Training
The Artificial Intelligence in Education & Training program area is a dedicated research and development (R&D) initiative committed to advancing artificial intelligence (AI) in education and workforce training.

Assessment
Our Assessment program has over 30 years of experience in the creation, refinement, and delivery of assessments through multiple formats. Our item writing process efficiently creates reliable and valid instruments to measure job knowledge, skills, and work competencies for students and employees.

Curriculum & Training
Our Curriculum and Training program includes content experts, trainers, and researchers who specialize in developing curriculum, instruction, and systems to support adult learning. We are committed to collaborating across educational and workforce settings because we envision a future where all learners reach their highest levels of achievement.

DACUM International Training Center
DACUM (an acronym for Developing a Curriculum) is an effective and relatively low-cost method of analyzing jobs and occupations used worldwide for more than 40 years and in over 58 countries through our DACUM International Training Center.

Excellence in Engagement & Evaluation
Our Excellence in Engagement and Evaluation program designs, implements, and evaluates projects within education, health, and workforce development entities to achieve outcomes based on evidence-based quality standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Family Engagement
Family engagement is families, education programs, and community partners working together to help children and youth learn, grow and prepare for their future. For many years, the Family Engagement program within our center worked with the Ohio Department of Education across projects to support schools in implementing practices to support family-school partnerships and received federal funding to become Ohio’s Statewide Family Engagement Center.

Online Learning
The Online Learning program is a center-wide initiative that leverages the Center on Education and Training for Employment’s expertise in learning design and educational technology. The center offers expertise in different subject areas, such as competency-based education, curriculum design & development, teacher education, and online education.
