Tighten your Toolbelt: The Go Digital Training Collection Gives you Online Training Tools to Sharpen your Skills

Written by Marcie Kamb, June 28, 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic required human resources and corporate training professions to quickly pivot to online trainings for onboarding, reskilling, upskilling and more. But with remote work and learning continuing beyond the pandemic—and with 94% of business leaders expecting their employees to pick up new skills on the job (World Economic Forum “The Future of Jobs Report 2020”)—the demand for quality online training is high.

Research shows employees are looking for more effective training opportunities from their employers and increasing user engagement remains the number one challenge for online learning in the workplace.

The Go Digital Training Collection features four online modules designed for HR and training professionals.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, you have delivered many online trainings by this point but you must ask yourself, is now the time to sharpen your own skills in the online training arena? There are more on the horizon, and the landscape of learning will continue to shift.

As of April 2020, organizations spent 67% more on conferencing software, (Edgepoint Learning) and will continue to explore new platforms to change the way we train employees.

The good news is that you aren’t in this alone, and the Center on Education and Training for Employment (CETE) understands you wear many hats and may not have the time or resources on your own professional development journey to elevate your online training skills. The Go Digital Training Collection was developed by the experts at The Ohio State University, whose digital training expertise is sought around the globe.

The Go Digital Training Collection is a four-part curriculum that will help you create engaging trainings that meet your employees where they are—in the office, at home, or anywhere they stay connected. These modules connect you with the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices in online training and provide access to curated resources you’ll need to transform your in-person training into an engaging online experience.

Each module in Go Digital takes approximately two hours to complete and can be started and paused at your convenience. Register to learn the fundamentals of translating in-person materials into online experiences, develop a community of learners, the processes and resources used to design and deliver online instruction, and the ways to evaluate if your online learning is effective.

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way companies across the globe do business. This has far-reaching implications for work and training that we are seeing play out in 2021 and into the future. Stay ahead of it with CETE’s 55+ years of workforce development expertise at your side.
