Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) Family Engagement

The CLSD project provides a robust suite of professional learning, coaching, and digital tools designed to help Ohio district and school grantees implement high-quality family engagement strategies. The project offers specialized seminars and differentiated coaching to help school districts understand multi-tiered family engagement, two-way communication practices, and strategies for learning at home that directly impact literacy achievement. The OSU team also maintains and expands a comprehensive family engagement toolkit, ensuring that resources are easy to use and aligned with the science of reading. This initiative helps schools and families work together to build a strong foundation for students’ reading and writing skills across the state.
