Promoting and Enhancing Positive Youth Development in Rural Ohio Through Evidence-Based School Program Initiatives

This initiative strengthens resilience and mental health for young people in communities facing issues related to childhood trauma and limited access to behavioral health services. The project includes delivery of the Mind Matters curriculum in three middle schools, a high‑school Ambassadors Program for participating youth, offers the Active Parenting program for families, and produces supportive podcasts to extend learning beyond the classroom.

Our evaluation team collects and analyzes data through surveys and focus groups to assess program outcomes and guide continuous improvement. Working closely with schools and community partners, this initiative ensures youth and families have access to effective, evidence‑based support that promotes long‑term well‑being.
