AI for Adult Learning and Workforce Training: Practical Skills for Modern Instruction
CETE’s Curriculum and Training Program provides professional development that helps educators, trainers, and industry partners integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into adult‑learning environments and workplace training. Our sessions support instructors across adult basic education, technical programs, and employer‑based training in building foundational AI literacy and applying AI tools to real instructional and operational tasks.
Grounded in adult‑learning principles, our interactive workshops focus on ethical and responsible AI use, hands‑on exploration, and problem‑centered activities that connect directly to teaching, training, and job‑specific responsibilities. Participants work collaboratively using their own devices to develop effective prompts, test AI platforms, and apply new concepts to lesson design, training development, communication, documentation, and workflow improvement.
We guide participants as they work in small groups using their own devices to explore AI platforms and apply new concepts. Activities encourage participants to practice prompt development, experiment with AI tools, and discuss implications for responsible use in educational settings.
We tailor every learning experience to organizational needs, ensuring participants gain relevant, job‑aligned experience using AI as both an instructional partner and an operational support tool. Whether your team teaches adults, trains employees, or manages learning and development, our training equips them to leverage AI confidently and responsibly.
