Columbus Access to Resources for Expanding Employment Readiness (CAREER) 500

The Columbus City Council has issued transformative grants to support the Columbus workforce development ecosystem, addressing the gap between major employers struggling to connect with qualified candidates and residents facing barriers to upskilling and training.

To meet the needs of Columbus families for better jobs with sustainable wages and employers for skilled labor, the Columbus City Council is implementing Columbus Access to Resources for Expanding Employment Readiness (CAREER) 500. CAREER 500 aims to uplift 500 or more Columbus residents by providing training, wraparound support, and job placement services to underemployed individuals.

Our Center is designing and implementing an evaluation plan focused on organizational activities and strategies that promote the recruitment, retention, and professional development of individuals into the workforce, ultimately documenting successful strategies to inform the advancement of relevant efforts across Columbus.
