Valerie Ofori Aboah
Valerie Ofori Aboah is a PhD student in Quantitative Research, Evaluation, and Measurement at The Ohio State University. Her research interests include educational measurement and psychometrics, program evaluation, and computerized adaptive testing, with a focus on using data to improve learning outcomes and support evidence-based practice.
At CETE, Valerie contributes to assessment program research, survey design, item bank management, and the development of technical documentation and stakeholder reports. She is passionate about translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that support educators, practitioners, and communities.
Before joining CETE, Valerie served as a Graduate Teaching Associate for Introduction to Educational Statistics in the Department of Educational Studies at Ohio State and as a Graduate Research Associate in the OSU Helping Early Readers Obtain Excellence in Special Education (HEROES) Reading Lab. She earned an M.S. in Applied Statistics and Analytics from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI., and a BSc. in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana.
Valerie is from Wenchi, Ghana, and enjoys cooking and watching movies in her free time.
