Tanya Middleton, PhD

Dr. Tanya J. Middleton is an Assistant Professor in Counselor Education at The Ohio State University. In this role, she is the coordinator of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and Director of Field Placements for the Clinical Mental Health Program. Additionally, she serves as a faculty associate with the Center on Education and Training for Employment (CETE) at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Middleton has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters related to access, equity, and inclusion in counselor education, higher education, and gifted and talented education, addictions, social justice, and clinical supervision. She has been invited to present at numerous conferences and as a keynote and featured speaker. Dr. Middleton has also served as a reviewer for Urban Education and the Journal of Counselor Preparation. 

Dr. Middleton is dually licensed in clinical mental health and chemical dependency. She has over 15 years of clinical experience and has consulted and collaborated with school districts, universities, and organizations on mental health, addictions, social justice, crisis response, and clinical supervision.
