Donna Smith

Donna Smith is the Finance Officer at the Center on Education and Training for Employment. In this role, Donna prepares the center’s annual budget, reviews transactions for approval, and makes recommendations to the Director regarding the use of financial resources. She also leads a two-person team responsible for monitoring sponsored projects grants and accounts receivable tracking.

Donna started her career at The Ohio State University in 1984 as an entry level Account Clerk in the Office of Research and began taking classes on a part-time basis the following quarter. She completed her Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State in 1993, majoring in Accounting. Donna retired from Ohio State as the Director of Business Services in the Department of Public Safety. She returned from retirement to join the center in 2015.

Donna was born and raised in southeastern Ohio and currently resides in Granville, Ohio. She enjoys traveling and loves being a grandma.
