Dan Spears

Dan Spears is a System Administrator Analyst for the Center on Education and Training for Employment, providing IT support for CETE staff and the various programs the Center operates. He brings with him two decades of IT experience across a diverse array of backgrounds from the SMB space to the enterprise level across local government and non-profit organisations, automotive research and development and healthcare IT, to give but a few examples. Before joining the Center, Dan spent several years supporting backup solutions for physical and virtual server infrastructure and Microsoft 365 data. During that time, he also helped create backup product aptitude tests and extensively mentored junior support engineers to help develop and enhance their knowledge and troubleshooting skill sets.

When he isn’t working Dan enjoys reading, walking around the various Columbus metro parks, spending quality time with his cat and occasionally playing videogames. He finds talking about himself in the third person to be a bit of a strange thing to do.
