Sara Owens, MA, MFA

Sara Owens is a Program Specialist at The Ohio State University’s Center on Education and Training for Employment, where she applies her background in public policy, creative communication, and research to strengthen programs that support educators, families, and communities. She holds an M.A. in Public Policy and Management from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, grounding her work in both analytical depth and clear, accessible communication.

In her role, Sara manages complex, multi‑partner initiatives focused on workforce development, youth and family support systems, and statewide professional learning. She specializes in guiding projects from concept to implementation, coordinating cross‑sector teams, and translating data into actionable insights.
