About this Learning Experience

Translation Models and Professional Roles is one of a series of short modules that provide training and information for applying key tools related to the process of translation developed by Ohio State’s Center on Education and Training for Employment.

In this module, you will:

  • Learn to apply two widely used frameworks: the Interactive Systems Framework for Implementation and Dissemination (ISF) and the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR)

  • Deepen your understanding of core translation concepts and the values that drive effective practice and how you can integrate them into your work

  • Identify professional roles that bring translational research to life

These insights will help you integrate translational research and implementation science more fully into your daily work.

Intended Audience

This module can be beneficial for anyone who is interested in learning more about translational research and implementation science, including but not limited to: 

  • Researchers and graduate students interested in applying their findings beyond academia.

  • Healthcare professionals seeking to integrate research evidence into patient care or public health practice.

  • Implementation specialists, project managers and coordinators aiming to strengthen their translational science foundation.

Format

This online module provides an asynchronous (does not take place in real-time), self-paced learning experience available 24/7. You will engage with videos, scenarios, and interactive activities designed to bring the content to life in a dynamic, flexible format without the constraints of a scheduled class meeting time.

Certificate

You will earn a non-credit academic certificate upon completion of the online module. Our non-credit academic certificates are designed for professionals who complete a minimum number of equivalent contact hours of online education modules with or without continuing education units (CEUs), in a select topic area.
