CETE staff member Barbara Boone presented at the State Personnel Development Grant National Conference held on Oct. 11-12 in Washington. The title of her presentation was “Systematically Embedding Family Partnerships: Moving from Supplemental to Central.” In this session, she shared the lessons learned through Ohio’s SPDG parent-teacher partnerships. The participants discussed how to move best practices of family partnerships to the center of their work to improve systems of professional development and technical assistance. The annual conference included participants from universities and state departments of education from 38 states and the District of Columbia.
