Two Annual Conference Presentations

CETE staff member Kate Fergus presented at two conferences this fall in sessions aimed to address the important relationship between content standards, career pathways, and critical thinking. The goal is to provide adult education and career tech professionals with strategies and tools they can implement in their programs to integrate opportunities for critical thinking into a customized, contextualized, and career-oriented curriculum for adult learners.

The Georgia Adult Education Conference, held this year on September 28-30 in Atlanta, provides continuous learning opportunities for adults and nontraditional students through communication, interaction, and professional development to promote and develop adult and continuing education in the state of Georgia. The annual conference of the National Center for Families Learning, held this year on October 17-19, provides discussions on the unrecognized potential of disenfranchised and vulnerable families and strives to empower these families through education, community service, and mentoring.
