CETE evaluates prenatal eclass

The Ohio Department of Administrative Services have awarded $396,000 to David Julian, PhD, and the CETE evaluation team for their Evaluation of Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program Prenatal Curriculum project. The team members designed a formal, state-of-the-art evaluation study to gain insight into the impact of an online training program called InJoy Understanding Birth eClass. The Ohio Department of Health and CETE’s team hypothesize that exposure to this curriculum will result in enhanced knowledge, increased confidence of home visitors, increased retention, longer visits, and, ultimately, positive birth outcomes. This project provides the opportunity to add to knowledge and practices regarding interventions aimed at improving health outcomes for Ohio mothers and their children.
